In the summer of 2002 I turned my hand to the police procedural. I had always enjoyed police drama, from Dragnet to Law & Order, and got it into my head that I could write anything I set my mind to. That’s a good attitude for an author to have. Good? Almost necessary in the cutthroat world of modern publishing, but it needs to be leavened with a healthy dose of reality!
Nonetheless, armed with a reasonably original idea, and the latest edition of Writer’s Digest’s Police Procedural, I set out to conquer another world, and produced yet another book that barely caused a raised eyelid in the publishing world. Now, through the magic of the internet, I am able to inflict it on you, so let me throw up the mandatory M rating for violence and language, and you can settle back to enjoy a saga of heinous crimes and mysterious motives in my lone [so far!] entry into crime literature, Broken English.
